[RP] Valentine's Day

Thana yawned.

It was boring day, so far. He wasn't complaining though... he rather needed the break. Things had been hectic lately. The wounds from their lastest stint were still fresh. It had been a while since had had time to himself.

So while everyone else was getting together, because today was day of together-ness, he stretched lazily on his lone perch in one of his favorite trees on the city outskirts of Auch, letting the afternoon roll by.

I guess nobody bothers to come around this area anymore.

Valentine's is quiet in the old house, with the twins out on a job and everyone else either out or doing supremely boring things. It's a good day to go raid the markets of Auch with Kayze for anything they need (they need a lot), and along the way he ends up leaving her in a cafe happily annoying the living God out of a couple, and takes the long way around the city to the waypoint.

Pulling his hat over his eyes, he leans back against the trunk, whistling some tune in between biting at an apple. The fruit is finished quickly, and the core allowed to drop down to the ground. His mind vaguely registers hearing a dull thud as it hits the earth, continuing his whistling.

He doesn't really pay any attention to the trees, at least until something falls out of the one in front of him and hits the ground. His hands are full of packages, so Lune just eyes the branches curiously and kicks the object--an apple core, he realises in a moment--idly.

He's beginning to doze off... realizing a little too late that it might not be such a good idea when he begins to slide off too the side...

Zzz.. mn.. whoa..!

He's able to grab on to the neighboring branch to stop himself from falling in time, though not without disturbing a good deal of the leaves and leaving himself in an uncomfortable position.

Phew.. *pause* ...Lune?

(smirking yay) Oh, nothing much. (he jiggles the packages. some of them rattle suspiciously.) Taking advantage of the holiday to do some shopping. Were you trying to escape the hordes of couples?

*blinks* ..Shopping? Okaaay. What kind of shopping? And yes, I guess you could say that. What about you? Where's your lady?

(He makes a rather exaggerated show of shaking some of the parcels, and says vaguely,) Just some things.

By "my" lady, I assume you mean Kayze? She's occupied somewhere thataway. (He waves back towards the cafe where he left Kayze, and the smirk softens into something closer to a smile.) She does so enjoy helping dates along.

She's rather her own woman, I'd think. And quite fine on her own. (he smirks) But do tell, what lands an eligible young bachelor like you up in a tree on this day?

*Scratches head* Thats not what I --- okay, nevermind. I'm just, eh, enjoying some peace and quiet. Been busy. *Unconsciously ghosts a hand over his bandaged arm* Also, I like trees.

Ah yes, peace and quiet is rather hard to come by in our line of work sometimes. I think I will leave you to it, then. If ever you feel like more company do feel free to call on me.

(he manages a half-wave with one hand, and starts to walk away)

{ Valentine's Day, one of his favourite days in a year. His arm leaning on the wall and eyes scanning lonesome women passing by. He recognizes a few of them, women he's slept with before.

He senses his arrival. }

You know, I'm not the type to wait. But you can't have Valentines without 'Val', can you?

He huffed and crossed his arms, moving to stand in front of Dimidium.

You're one to talk. Aren't you usually the late one?

{ He winks at one of the women who recognizes him back and turns to Val. }

As overrated as it is and for the hell of Valentines spirit.

{ A purple rose appears in his grip and brings the petals to touch Val's cheek, down to his neck and then to his hands. }

He sighed exasperatedly at the wink but his eyes softened a little, looking at the rose in his hands and running his fingers over its petals lightly.

Violet? Dimidium, I always knew it was your favorite color, and that you were theatrical, but violet roses are something new. Hmph.

He looked back up at him and tilted his head.

So, pray tell, where are we going?

Normally... I'd take them out for coffee, dinner somewhere, have a drink, then off to my bed~

... Hmmn. Let's have coffee?

{ He chuckles and crosses his arms. }

Oh, what would interest you then? I'm always the one choosing where to go. Where does my boring, austere, punctilious darling have fun?

He raised an eyebrow.

...And if I'm boring, austere and punctilious...

He lifted the rose up to Dimidium's face and traced a line down his cheek with its stem, his tone almost, almost teasing (or as teasing as it could get, anyway).

Then shouldn't you be the one to choose even more?

{ He smiles. As Valerius lifts up his arm, he spots the side of his hip where a holster would usually be found. }

Aah! How 'bout a shooting range?
I've never held a pistol or any of those things before.

He looked at him incredulously. If he had been someone else, he would have laughed.

I think I would prefer coffee.

He turned and started to stride away. After a while, he turned and tapped his foot impatiently, eyeing Dimidium expectantly.

{ He sighs and rubs his cheek where the rose touched. }

Hnnn, and I was really curious too.

{ He tucks a hand in his pocket and walks forward. }

He nodded at him and paused to slightly fix the knot on Dimidium's cravat, hands lingering for a few seconds before dropping.

He let out a long-suffering sigh, shifting slightly closer to Dimidium as they walked.

I do so admire your humility. It is astounding.

They were walking sort of aimlessly, he supposed, and they'd probably end up stopping on impulse wherever Dimidium deemed suitable enough.
